Moral support: Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were on hand to watch their besty Roger Federer — top seed at this week’s BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif. — lose to 27th-seed Marcos Baghdatis 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (4). Roger had a match point in that twelfth game of the third set but couldn’t convert. TSF was on hand to watch Marcos smoke Arnaud Clement 7-6 (7), 6-1 in the second round and he’s playing pretty well this week.
Looking forward: Marcos next faces Tommy Robredo (in the fourth round) and possibly Andy Roddick in the quarters. (Men’s Draw [pdf])

excuse me, but, as a contrast to fed´s “always right” style, could we talk about Ljubicic´s “just out of the hospital” fashion? really, what´s with the white-penicilin uniform and white headband on a very pale man with no hair? l find it quite mean towards the player! who by the way playing a great tournment…
maybe they should stop coming to Roger’s matches! They were there too when he lost at Wimbledon to Nadal, and I think also at the US Open to Del Potro. Don’t recall seeing them there when he beat Roddick at Wimbledon though…
yes we are OBSESSED with Elisabeth Shue’s glasses. Ob. sessed.
Was Mirka there? Very sad for Roger, he looked so sad in the exit photo.

And that’s Elisabeth Shut in the front left w/ the glasses on…
